Let's Get earning

In my last post I mentioned about some simple steps you should follow to be a successful blogger. I know that in the beginning, there's a lot of eagerness to get started with making money and you want to receive that first pay check ASAP, but my friend, things don't work that way. I am not trying to discourage you but I am just trying to bring out the reality. There's a very famous phrase " TO GET SOMETHING, YOU'L HAVE TO LOSE SOMETHING". Well, in our case, it would be," to get money, you'l have to lose time". But don't vary, there are ways that can be employed to reduce this time loss to as least as possible and this is what this post is devoted to.
So, what are those ways that you could adopt to save your time and earn money. well, lets begin with it -

1. First and most important, create a decent looking design that does not hurt eyes. Do not use vibrant colors like Blood red or bright yellow because that will only shoo away your visitors. As you can see very well, I have adopted a very simple design which is  pleasing as well.
2. Second comes the posts. The very important step that most people just ignore is the blog title. Its like the first few words that would decide whether your reader will move further with your post, or just leave it write there. Always use a catchy title that would make the reader feels - "Yes, this is what I am looking for". I would also like to tel you that many a times, your blog titles act as your visitor source as they get crawled by the search engines bots and get indexed in the search results.
3. Now the above two points were about how you can hold a visitor to your blog. But whats the use if that visitor don't help you on earning, so what is the easiest way that you can employ to earn from that visitor? It is   the ads on your blog. You might be very well known to this way and you may even be using it, but wait! this is a quiet new look to this easy way. First, always try to place contextual ads on your page. Contextual ads are those which match with content your site. The best source of contextual ads is Google adsense. I know you might be thinking that its not easy getting an adsense account, but believe me, I got a valid adsense account in jus 72 hours. I'l discuss about ad placing and getting adsense account approved in just 72 hours in my next post. So, stay tuned and keep reading.

Do you really have what it takes to earn online?

This was the first question I asked My own self before I thought of starting this blog. I considered and then reconsidered the knowledge I am having about this business and then gave it a thought whether that would help my readers in any way. And in the end, the answer i got was , a BIG YES.
I have been going through these online money making options for over 4 years now. The one basic thing I learned from this experience is that nothing, mind my words, nothing on this ship of online money is free to anyone. If you are offered something for FREE, as they say, you are surely being deprived of something, let it be your web space, your knowledge and even your time. Most people would think that its a basic requirement but believe me, if you want to be successful in this online business
, you need to take care of many things. Mostly those who create a blog or a webpage for just the sake of How to Make Money Online With a Free Blog - For Newbies
How to Make Money Online With a Free Blog - For Newbiesearning from it, get frustrated too early if they don't get the expected results from it. Then they lose interest in their blog/webpage after many failed attempts of generating money from it. But that not what it takes to earn online.

So, when it is that you are ready to become " John Chow" in this blogging business? Well, in simple words, its when you start blogging for pleasure of blogging itself rather than just for the sake of money. I know you are thinking now that how, then, you would get "bling-bling" from your efforts. Well, there are just some simple steps that you can follow to get it going. I will address those steps in my next post. so stay tuned and keep reading. Till then, check this-

Force Your Business Forward With Facebook

It’ll seem odd to say it but I’m not a massive fan of social media, the games aggravate me, privacy is always going to be an issue and the number of alerts you receive and what you’re alerted to all seem to have to be set way low because the default might as well just be a big button with the legend “FLAME ON!” emblazoned across it.
I was an early adopter of twitter and linkedin too, maybe too early as there didn’t seem to be anyone else about so I averted my gaze for six months and then BOOM it’s a phenomenon. But I’m still not interested.
So, why should it
seem odd that some-one somewhere doesn’t like social media? Well, being an SEO it is supposed to be something I’m a complete Fan-Boy over. I appreciate that as a tool it works, but a tool is all it is, do you ask an artist to describe her brushes while ignoring her work? Would you sit in a Mazaratti ask the owner to describe how they drive it, or would you ask if you could have a go?
Today more people are being taken on in social media than in internet marketing and emarketing because of the belief in social marketing which, so far, is unproven. In a report published this year by ForeSee only 3% of traffic to a retailers website was driven by social media. Half was driven by prior knowledge of the company, a quarter was from emarketing.
25 Ways to Make Money Online

So, if you’re going to make your social media strategy worthwhile you’re really going to have to work it, it’s not a wonder marketing device where you just flick the Facebook switch and orders flood in.
Having a Facebook or Myspace page is a very passive form of communication left on its own, you are going to have to engage and engage well to give the page the initial boost it needs to get it off the ground.
Advertising and Promotion
OK, sure ‘everyone’s’ got a Facebook page but it’s not necessarily natural for some-one to Facebook search a shoestore for example. If you have a Facebook page for your shoestore you’re still going to have to advertise it. Leaflet campaigns and traditional print and broadcast advertising should direct people to your Facebook page which should be populated with lots of good quality pictures of your stock a good bio and engaging comments wall.
It’s Your Voice so Speak
If you receive harsh comments from disgruntled customers don’t ignore them or worse yet, get involved in and online argument. This is a sure way to getting yourself a fur lines ocean going PR disaster; if people are making complaints then investigate them and say you’re doing so in reply. When you resolve the issue announce that the problem has been solved and that you’d welcome them back to see how well you’ve improved your service since their last visit. In this way you’ve turned a criticism into an opportunity to improve and you’ve kept your public image untarnished. A positive result all round.
You should also make ‘friends’ with all of your employees and encourage them to write comments and invite their friends too, offer inducements to new customers and new friends which aren’t available anywhere else. On the face of it this seems like your business is promoting your Facebook page but the more popular it is the more people will like and the word of mouth will spread which is the overall goal. But you have to keep at it, putting the page up and being enthused about it for the first month then finding you’re too busy to keep it up just won’t rock and roll.
Build Brand Loyalty.
What Facebook has over traditional marketing is the aspect of brand loyalty. It’s between five and ten times more expensive to convert a new customer than it is to get some-one who’s already loyal to the brand to buy. If you keep on good terms with your Fan-Boys and Girls by pre-releasing press, giving loyalty bonuses and rewards, inviting them to events. By treating your core clients extremely well you get not loyalty but devotion, again your word of mouth is second to none and they are far more likely to recommend you and defend your business better than paid PR when comparing you against other providers.

Moving on from Facebook, have you filled in your Google Local entry? Putting yourself into Local means that you have control. If you search your company’s name you will probably find yourself in Local and be astonished at how inaccurate the data is. The reason for this is that the data used has been aggregated from a number of directories all input by hand several years ago then chopped about as company after company have re-formatted the data to fit their directory’s style. Putting your own data in means that you can have a bio, pictures even a couple of Youtube movies up there.
I think that to many people the idea of having a corporate Twitter account is counter intuitive or at least irrelevant but if you’re blogging and commenting every day either on Facebook, your own website or other business partners, competitors and companies from where you draw inspiration then you should twitter everything. If it’s important enough for you to say it it’s important enough for you to tweet about it.
You’ll want a ‘follow me on twitter’ button but you’ll also want to follow everyone you can think of in every allied industry to yours because followers get followed not only by the followed but their followers too.
So you’ve got followers, so what? Well, your twitter is a free means to putting your brand in front of people every time you have something to say, your followers are always being reminded of you and seeing what you want to tell them that’s not just marketing, that’s almost like propaganda of Big Brother proportions; still can’t see the point?

Different way to find perfect Money making niche

Finding a niche is a key element to developing a successful site. How marketers find a niche has been well documented on the web, many sites and training courses spew out the same ideas and techniques, most will mention Amazon as a great way to find a niche, most suggest finding the top products in each section and building a site around them.

In principle this works, but when everyone else is using the same tactics and sources to find a niche, those new niches you’ve just found will become over crowded with other skilled marketers who are all looking for a piece of the pie. If we are all jump into the same niche at the same time, life will be made more difficult for us all, there will be
less money to go round and the work load will increase.
So how do you find new niches that other marketers have misses?
Flippa: is a website auction site a good source when researching possible niches and the best thing is that the webmasters who list their sites here take all of the guess work out of entering a new niche, they tell you how much traffic they get, how much they make from this traffic and how they make their money and who know they you may even find yourself a bargain.
Google Suggestion tools: There are programs available that will scrape Google’s suggestion tool, plug in in your base keyword and they will return a list of suggestions for that keyword, once this is done through the results into the keyword tool and see how many searches those terms get every month. A word of warning with this method, the results here you is possibly getting into the micro niche territory.
Q&A Tools: This is again similar to the Google Suggestion idea, add you base keyword and check the results; the warning with this one is that the results returned are mostly in the form of a question, which is traditional long tail territory, they can be easy to rank for but with a limited search volume.
Keywords: There are a lot of marketers that build huge lists of random keywords, they don’t care what the keyword is, it just needs to fit their criteria, low competition, a decent CPC price and an available exact match domain, this method works but you will find that these types of sites encompass a lot of micro niches, where there isn’t really any opportunity to build the site out further once you have hit the top spot for your main keyword.
Magazines: go to your local news agent and chances are you will see countless magazines on a host of different topics, if you can find a mag on an obscure topic then you may have found a good niche to work in.
Keyword Tool: Instead of plugging in a long list of keywords into the tool, use the website feature, it helps to have an idea of the main niche you are entering, let’s say you want to do something in the “money saving” niche, then look for a forum on that niche, websites can also work well but I find when I throw the link to a forum in, I will get a broader keyword list returned and a lot of the results can be question based ( LongTails). It’s definitely worth the 5 minutes it will take to give this method a try and you may be surprised with the results that will be returned.

A great way to increase visitors to your blog

We have learned that monetizing our blogs involves: 1.) Creating a blog with the Blogger service and 2.) Learning how to implement Google AdSense to earn money. However, these are just the first steps in the overall process. Making money to blog takes
time, but I'll show you how to speed up the process and start driving traffic to your blog in just a matter of minutes.

Arnold Schwarzenegger once said:
You can have the best product in the world, but if you don't know how to sell it, and if you don't, if you don't have anybody who can sell it for you or tell the public, it's a waste of time, the whole thing.

We can't argue that point Arnold (by the way, I loved your role in Kindergarten Cop) - and that's why today I'm here to talk about one of the many, many ways you can promote your blog and its content with a great service called: StumbleUpon.

When I stumbled up, I was instantly hooked. In short, the service allows you to browse great websites with ease, which is specific to your tastes. So if you like technology, you're going to get pages about: hardware, software, etc. It's a brilliant concept, and eliminates those times (we all have) when we want to surf the Internet for topics we like, but don't know where to go - StumbleUpon does that for us!

So how does StumbleUpon help promote our blogs?

The answer is simple really - you connect with other stumblers through your StumbleUpon home page.

If they are interested in the content that you stumble, they'll add you as a friend and in turn will pass the word on. This networking will help promote your blog by adding your website into the stumble rotation. So now all of your friends and your friends, friends will be exposed to your blog content!

StumbleUpon makes the process of using its service to promote our blogs super simple with some great tools. For one, if you're using Firefox or Internet explorer, you can't live without the toolbar.

The integration of StumbleUpon into your browser is what makes it so popular. The options here (which I'll leave for you to explore) allow visitors to easily add your blog as a favorite to their StumbleUpon home page. This seamless integration helps to increase your blog network, promotion, traffic, and - generate more money from your blog at the end of the day.

Another must have for bloggers is the Link to Your Profile button. They come in many different flavors and it's just a simple copy and paste of the html into your blog post or blog navigation menu.

What these buttons do is make the experience for those who stumble your page much more enjoyable. If they like your article or site in general, they can simply click on the StumbleUpon button to add it into their rotation. Piece of cake, eh?

Making money from our blogs is a lot of fun. Promotion tools like StumbleUpon just make the experience so much better. So what are you waiting for? Get Stumbling!

How to increase blog traffic through "Backlinks"

Now that we have those services we need to befriend Google. Google is going to become one (if not THE) major source of our traffic. Services like StumbleUpon are an excellent start but we need to do more –
much more.

Mr. Miyagi once said:

“Walk on road, hm? Walk left side, safe. Walk right side, safe. Walk middle, sooner or later get squish just like grape. Here, karate, same thing. Either you karate do "yes" or karate do "no." You karate do "guess so, just like grape. Understand?”

Mr. Miyagi knew a thing or two about karate, but I think we can apply it to monetizing our blogs as well. You see, creating traffic with blogs is kind of similar – you go full force and monetize successfully or you don’t. Backlinks is one of the major keys to going full force.

What on earth is a backlink?

A backlink is simply links from one site to another. It is one of the factors that determines how popular your blog is and ultimately how fast it’s going to get off the ground. The more relevant backlinks to your site, the better – and by relevant I mean the sites linking to you should be related to your topic (If your blog is about fancy cars it's probably going to do you little good to have a link for your site on a blog dedicated to quilting.)

Ok, so I get what a backlink is, but what does it matter?

Let me direct you to another Mr. Miyagi quote if I may:

“We make sacred pact. I promise teach karate to you, you promise learn. I say, you do, no questions.”

Swap karate with monetizing your blog and we’re good to go. Seriously speaking here – backlinking is a great way to do the following:

1.) Network with other bloggers and site owners.
2.) Establishing you as a major player on the web and ultimately getting higher listings in Google’s Search.
3.) Promoting your blog to other readers who frequent these other sites.

Ah I get it now! But how do I get started?

You may already have! That’s the great part about backlinking. If you have interesting content, chances are someone may already be linking to you. But even still you should do some networking. My recommendations to you are to bookmark some bloggers in your niche and get to know them – participate with quality comments on their sites. Most bloggers have a contact form or email link and from there you can request a link exchange. Key word here is “request”… do not beg.

Remember, we’re going to make money blogging but we have to earn it. Backlinks are one of the most popular ways to drive traffic to our blogs. So what are you waiting for? Start networking today.

Oh, what’s that? You have a site that has quality content that is your own and would like to exchange links with Earn Money to Blog? Sure, just shoot me an email and I would be delighted to add you to my blogroll!
